The Central Market didn’t look like much to me. But when I found out that it was housed in five zeppelin hangars, then it got somewhat interesting.

The hangars were abandoned by the Germans in the first world war and was moved to the current site in the 1920’s. It is near the building of the Academy of Sciences aka Stalin’s birthday cake – which resembles very much the Palace of Science and Culture in Warsaw, Poland. And surely another building/s in Russia.

Inside the market building we saw fresh food like fish and meat, while outside the building are stalls selling clothes, fruits and other goods. The prices were so cheap that I got confused and suspicious. I get paralyzed when there are so many things to choose from, ergo I cannot decide to buy, no matter how low the prices are.
