Ulriksdals Palace is one of the royal palaces. It is situated in our municipality, Solna in Stockholm. It is in the banks of Edsviken in the Royal national city park.

It has the oldest preserved orangery in Sweden and Confidencen, the oldest Rococo theater in the country. The theater is run by Kjerstin Dellert, former opera singer and former Sigtuna resident. I am familiar with her because the newspaper I work for cover anything and everything that has to do with Sigtuna municipality.

It was built around 1650’s and was a retreat house. Then it was sold to the royal family. It is named after Prince Ulrik, but the prince died a year after his birth.
